Time capsule

We downloaded all the pictures off Charles's phone today and he had some really cute pictures of Zach - it was fun to see how much he has changed.

At the ballfield with Aunt Kathleen.

Stealing the ball from Jack at school.

Communication

Zachary started waving bye-bye yesterday! Also, this morning I heard a distinct 'Uh oh!' when he dropped his cracker on the floor for Tootie to eat. And when we looked out the window at Daddy mowing the grass, he said 'Da!'

In other developments, tooth #8 is here, and he took his first tiny step today!

New house

Exciting news! Our new house is starting to take shape. We're going to start a new blog to keep up with the progress - keep an eye out for a link.

Eleven months old!

I can't believe that in one more month my baby will be one year old. We spent the past weekend at my Uncle Warren and Aunt Linda's farm. While we were there, Zachary started standing up in the middle of the floor. The first time he did it, he used Andrew's shoes as ballast. Then he started doing it all over the place. He gets really tickled when he does it! Kathleen thinks he'll be walking by the end of the week. He may have gotten delayed a little bit though - he turned up with a fever today so we had to pick him up early from school. It could have to do with his teething - #7 turned up today, the top right. #6 came through around Saturday - I can't keep up with them!

Fun at the Austin Childrens Museum

Today we went to the Childrens Museum and had a lot of fun. It's just down the street from Mommy's office so we got to park in her parking garage. Here we are having a sandwich at the downtown Which Wich before the museum.

Here we are on the pretend Austin City Limits music stage - Zachary is of course drumming!

His t-shirt was appropriate for this area.

He really liked the little house.

So did Mommy!

More cool blocks and gears to look at - if you pushed the button they started turning.

Fun with mirrors!

More blocks - these were really cool tree blocks.

Zachary is all about balls these days - they had a magic ball that floated in the air!

Yay! He caught it!

This is just a small sampling of our slide photos - we really liked the slide!

We went down and up.

And up and down...

Here we are learning about milk.

And trains.

More buttons to push!

Yay, we like to splash in water!

We really liked the frog pond too. He still managed to find some balls though.

What a fun day!

First note from the teacher

Is this a milestone? I went to pick up Zachary from daycare yesterday and as soon as I walked in the teacher thrust a piece of paper at me - it was an incident/accident report so I thought what have they done to him now? But no... turns out my sweet angel baby bit one of the other babies. I was mortified! She said the other mother took it well and they assured me that these things happen. It left a mark but didn't break the skin. Zachary seemed right pleased with himself. Geez, I have a biter...

No hands!!

Yesterday we went to visit Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Bob because we hadn't seen them in a while. I had gotten Zachary a sippy cup of water and left it on the coffee table. We were just visiting and all of a sudden we all noticed he was just standing there, holding his cup with both hands! He was a little wobbly but he stood there for quite a while. By the time Aunt Cynthia got the camera, he had sat down, so this was the closest we could get to capturing it on film, but he still is doing pretty good! The first time he had no contact with the coffee table. I think they've been working on this with him at daycare, but this is the first time he did it by himself.

The cup game

Zachary's favorite game right now is to talk into a cup. If you take his cup and go 'huhhh!' into it, he'll take it back and do it back for you. It is very cute!
