Choo Choo

While we were still in Corpus Christi Zach and I went to see this little choo choo train at a local motel. They have a little train track that goes all the way around the property. Apparently it has always been there but I never noticed it before. Zach that it was pretty cool though!

My attempt to take a photo of the two of us. Not a very flattering angle. Oh well!

On the way home we stopped at this cool little playground at a church near my parents' house - Zach loved this little boat! He threw a fit when it was finally time to leave!

Driving the ship like Daddy!

Christmas 2007

This year we went to Corpus Christi the Saturday before Christmas, so Santa came to our house a little early so we would be there for him. Here is Zachary that Saturday morning with his new chair. (Forgive the blurriness of some of these - I can't figure out what I am doing wrong with this camera!)

And here are the stockings - Tootie tried to claim Zachary's reindeer.

We also had lots of great gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Dickerson. He especially liked his new Little People dump truck, and got lots of nice new clothes. Here is his cool drum set from Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Bob.
After a little rest, we all loaded up and went to Grandmother and Granddad's house in Corpus Christi. Zachary discovered a new favorite drink there...

Here are all the boys with Santa - we have a picture of Andrew with the same Santa when he was Zachary's age. Santa! That is a word I forgot! Zachary can spot a Santa from a mile away - he loves Santa.

Here we are opening more presents - Zach got this cool bowling set and a set of different kinds of sports balls from Uncle Robert and Aunt Jaime. He has had a lot of fun with them! By this time he had the present opening thing down pat.

Here he is checking out the YouTubes with Granddad...
Here is Tootie with his new Bobo that Santa brought him... within a day or so he had ripped out the squeaker, but Grandmother repaired it for him. It was not the first time she had performed emergency surgery!
Zachary and Daddy enjoyed some booh-bah! during the trip...

Grandmother had this cool little car outside - Zachary had a ball in it!

I don't remember what was so amusing here, but he was just being a ham!

On Christmas morning Zach helped Grandmother open her presents, since he had had so much practice.

Another football!!
Granddad needed some help too...
Hmmm, what is this one?
It's a choo-choo!!

We were glad we got pictures of it assembled, otherwise we would have been in trouble trying to put it back together!

More to come...

17 months old!

I haven't done a monthly update in a while - Zach is just growing and changing so much! He is getting really tall and thinning out some right now and is talking a lot. These are his favorite words:

Booh-bah! (Football - whenever he spots a game on TV or one of his multiple footballs)
Ba (all other balls)
Uh-uh! (Still a big favorite)
Whoa! (Anything amazing, particularly Christmas lights)

A lot of the rest of these sound similar when he says them but have definite meanings, so I'll just put the meaning:
Juice (still applies to anything drinkable)
Cracker
Shoes
Jacket
Mama
Dada
Thank you (I swear I have heard this once or twice!)
Dog (We can say 'Where's your dog?' or 'Where's Tootie?' and he will point to him)
Kitty Cat (Same with 'Where's your cat?' or 'Where's Timmi?'
Down
More
Night night (When he is tired, he will say 'na na?' and head off to the bedroom)
Banana
Fire truck (We were at Penney's the other day and he found this pillow in the shape of a fire truck - he loves that thing)

I'm sure there are several I'm forgetting - I'll add them as they come to me!

Zachary really enjoyed Christmas this year. We would drive around looking at lights and he would just 'Whoa!' like crazy all around the neighborhood. A week or so before Christmas his daycare had a Christmas pageant. Zach and all the other one year olds were reindeer - their primary function was to sit there and look cute, which Zach of course excelled at. We got to spend Christmas and the week after in Corpus Christi with my parents this year. Every evening we would take Tootie for a walk and Zach would insist on holding his leash - they were quite a sight! He also had a good time feeding Granddad's birds and visiting all the local playgrounds. He loves to be outside, so I'm glad we've had so much nice weather.

We can say 'Where's your belly?' and he'll pull up his shirt and point to it. He will also point to his nose, and our noses. He has also figured out how to blow raspberries on my belly, which is quite hilarious.

I have a whole slew of pictures from December that should be up soon - stay tuned!

Helping Daddy

This is one of Zachary's favorite toys from Santa - his Little People garage. It is exactly the way I remember it from when I was a kid. He had a lot of fun helping Daddy put it together.
