3 year checkup

Last week we went for Zachary's 3 year old visit with the doctor. He is 41 inches tall and 39 pounds, still at the top of the charts. He is doing great!

My conversation with Zach this morning

We were on our way to school and we passed by the indoor soccer place.

Z: Mommy, what's that soccer place?
M: That's the indoor soccer field.
Z: What do they do there?
M: Play soccer! Do you want to play soccer?
Z: Yeah! Do you want to play soccer Mommy?
M: Weeellll, no probably not.
Z: Why?
M: Well, Mommy isn't very good at sports. Daddy is really good at sports though.
Z: Only little boys can play sports!
M: Oh no, girls can play sports too! Just Mommy is not very good at them. A lot of girls are really good at sports. You see, everyone has different talents and things they like to do. Daddy is really good at sports, and art, and drawing. Mommy likes to read, and is good at music. Boys and girls can both be good at all kinds of things.
Z: No Mommy! Only little boys play sports!
M: No Zach, girls can be...
Z: No Mommy, only little boys, not BIG DADDIES!
