Ready for football season!

Sweetness

We made it through!

Well, we survived our first week with me back and work and Matthew at daycare - whew! Matthew did great - the first couple of days he didn't want to drink from his bottle too much but by the end of the week he was a pro. He really seems to like watching the other babies and he has a mobile in his crib that he loves. When I go to visit him, they are either holding him, or he is in his crib smiling at his mobile. He was a little sniffly by the end of the week but I guess that is to be expected. I think he grew a lot this week - he almost looks like a different baby to me. I am just going to look at him all weekend.
.
As for me, I cried a lot the first day, just a little the second day, and by the third day I didn't cry at all! The most challenging part is getting all our stuff ready for each day. Every day when I leave the house I have to make sure I have Matthew's bottle bag, Zachary's lunchbag, my lunchbag, my purse, and my pump bag. And the baby and Zachary. :) I have been packing all the lunches and washing bottles and pump parts the night before, which is working well except for Thursday night when I fell asleep with Zachary and then found myself packing lunches at 1 am.
.
So here we are on Saturday morning - this is an unedited view of the state of our house, McDonalds cups and all. We are watching The Incredibles for the hundredth time this week. And yes, Zachary is eating Cheetos for breakfast. But they are baked. :) And we are all healthy and happy!

P.S. Haircut reactions

When we let Tootie in after we got back from the haircut, he barked at Zachary for about five minutes. Finally we made him sniff his feet and he recognized him!

When we went to school on Monday, Zachary told all his teachers 'Don't worry, it will grow back to normal!' Ms. Irene, his new Busy Bee teacher, told me she saw him with his friends and said 'Did we get a new student?'

P.P.S. - Potty training update

Zachary is potty trained! I am super proud of him. His last big accident was on his third birthday, but since then it has been smooth sailing. Woo-hoo! Only one in diapers!

Brace yourselves...

Zachary's hair was getting a little bit crazy.

No matter how many times I asked him, he insisted he wanted a short haircut like Jack.

So yesterday we went for a haircut.

Getting stronger...

Scrappy

This picture makes it looks worse than it actually was - he got into a little scrape with his friend Aiden at school. Two days later it is already almost gone, just the one under his right eye is still there!

Hello Handsome!

Oh my gosh, Matthew just now noticed himself in the mirror on his swing. He has been cooing and smiling at himself for about 15 minutes straight!

Three!

Zachary is three years old today! We have had a lot of fun celebrating!
On Thursday night Zachary and I went to see the Wiggles.
On Saturday we had his party at Goin' Bananas.

This is a picture of Zachary and his friend Aiden from school - they were too fast for me!

Andrew and Reid and I had fun on the big slide.

The three amigos!
Zachary got a little excited helping me with the candles!
He was especially excited to see his good buddy Jack who was in his class at school from the time he started as a baby up until a month ago when he left to stay at home with his new baby brother.

After we got home Daddy surprised him with his new bike!
