Bumming around on a Friday after school

So big!

Matthew at 1

Matthew had his one year check-up a couple of days after his birthday. Here are his 1 year stats:
Height: 31 inches - 75-90%
Weight: 23 lbs 15 oz - 50-75%
Head: 48 cm - 90%

So he is my little baby. :) Here is Zachary's for comparison.

Matthew hasn't shown much interest in walking yet, but he is a super fast crawler! He is into everything and loves to rummage through the pantry or any drawer he can find. He loves balls more than anything - that was his first word too. So far he says ball, uh oh, and thank you (sort of). He loves to stick his tongue out and make noises with it. He insists on feeding himself with a spoon or fork and is pretty good at it. He loves to eat and will try anything. He loves his friends at school, and is just a generally super happy sweet baby!

The boys look super cute together in their matching jammies, but I guess you'll just have to take my word for it. :) Zachary and Daddy are getting ready to go see Toy Story 3!

Schlitterbahn!

Today we had my company picnic at Schlitterbahn. Aunt Kathleen picked up Matthew and Andrew and Reid went with us. Zachary rode all the rides and didn't even get scared (except maybe once at the very end, but it was scary for me too!)

Children's Museum

Today Zachary's friend Cristian had his birthday party at the children's museum. Both boys had a ton of fun! I got my workout trying to keep up with Zachary while carrying Matthew around!











After the museum we stopped by my office to get a drink.

Here is Zachary posing in front of my office art gallery. This is the morning of Matthew's birthday party. I needed something from my office so we were just going to run down there real quick, only to find there was a triathlon going on! An hour later, we finally made it, with just enough time to spare to pick up Matthew's cake and get home for the party.

Scavenging

This photo encapsulates almost all the big things Matthew is doing right now. He's standing fairly confidently, while holding on to stuff, eating just about everything, and he wants to use a spoon all the time. It's pretty messy but we enjoy it.

Zachary has really been getting into coloring lately. He looks really intense when he's working on something! All Daddy's artist friends are impressed!
