Me: "I'm going to get a shot today. Remember when you snuffed the stuff up your nose but Matthew had to get a shot? Well, I have to get a shot too".

Zach: "How loud are you going to cry?"

Me: "Hmm, I don't know!"

Zach: "Will your friends at work hear you?"

Checkup

While Grandma was here, she went with me to take the boys for their checkups - Matthew for 15 months and Zachary for 4 year. (I was a little late for both but hey, we were moving!) They both had to get shots. One of them cried a lot louder than the other, but I won't name names. I think Zach is good until age 10 now, so that's good. Matt had another ear infection, so we got some more antibiotics and go back in a month. If he still is infected, she's then going to send us to an ENT to talk about tubes. I'll think about that tomorrow.

Long time no blog!

I just realized that I have missed two complete months of blogging the boys. I blame this on two factors:

1) My iPhone. I used to take my camera with me everywhere, and went through my days thinking of clever blog posts. Now, I just take my phone because I can take pretty good pictures with it, but I find I take fewer and download them less frequently, then end up with fewer usable ones because half of them are blurry. Plus, then when I do use my real camera, I then have two sources of photos to compile, which is a pain.

2) Facebook. It's so much easier to upload pictures there, particularly from the iPhone. Plus people are always on Facebook anyway so then they only have to go to one place. I'm sure Facebook has killed a lot of blogs.

Nevertheless, I love the blog as a record of the boys and their growth/hilarity/fun, so I am going to attempt to catch up. We'll see how well I do. It can't be worse than Carolyn. ;)

Bumming around on a Friday after school

Matthew had his one year check-up a couple of days after his birthday. Here are his 1 year stats:
Height: 31 inches - 75-90%
Weight: 23 lbs 15 oz - 50-75%
Head: 48 cm - 90%

So he is my little baby. :) Here is Zachary's for comparison.

Matthew hasn't shown much interest in walking yet, but he is a super fast crawler! He is into everything and loves to rummage through the pantry or any drawer he can find. He loves balls more than anything - that was his first word too. So far he says ball, uh oh, and thank you (sort of). He loves to stick his tongue out and make noises with it. He insists on feeding himself with a spoon or fork and is pretty good at it. He loves to eat and will try anything. He loves his friends at school, and is just a generally super happy sweet baby!
