Zachary eyed them with great anticipation.
At about 9:15, we were informed that the egg hunt would actually start at 9:30. Because a crowd of kids presented with a lawnful of brightly colored eggs loves to wait! So with some time to kill, Zach took to the playscape.
Luckily they had food there, so he decided to grab a croissant and do some mingling.
At least there were lots of cute girls there!
Then he decided to practice his modeling poses.
Finally it was time to hunt the eggs! When the whistle blew, Zach beelined straight for the big green ball, making his daddy proud.
How you doin'?
Okay, back to the eggs...
Egg-hunting has become tiresome!
Coming next - dying our eggs...

Egg Hunt #2
Saturday morning before Easter, we got up bright and early, loaded up the wagon with our Easter basket, and headed for the neighborhood amenities center for our first trip to the annual egg hunt.

The signs posted throughout the neighborhood indicated the egg hunt would begin at 9 am, so we left our house at 8:47 and after a brisk walk we rolled up just in time. The eggs were all there, ripe for the picking.
