This morning we had our two week checkup with the pediatrician. Zachary now weighs 9 lbs, 10 oz, and is 22.5 inches long (97th percentile). Have I mentioned he's really a good eater. :-)She had just gotten the lab results back from the last time and it turns out the little pimples on his belly were staph, but the ointment cleared them up right away so she said just to watch for them and treat them right away if we see anymore. We also have to watch for them on ourselves. She didn't seem too concerned about it.
Other than that, everything was good! We're still having a little trouble with a blocked tear duct on his right eye, but she said it should clear up eventually. We just keep it clean and massage the tear duct to try to help clear it out.
They have a new rotavirus vaccine out so we have to decide if we want to do it before the next appointment, which is at two months.
At the end of the appointment they did another heel prick as a follow-up to the one they did at the hospital. Momma only cried a little. :-)
